Original low stool or tabouret, well known as the Berger Stool, designed by Charlotte Perriand. Inspired by pastoral mountain life, the design utilizes typical materials found in the Alps. Exquisitely handcrafted using traditional woodworking techniques, the stool features tapered legs and beautiful joinery details. The characteristic turning connection of the wood seat is visible underneath. The wood shows honest aging and patina in our example, adding to its authentic charm. This piece was acquired together with other fine examples of Perriand’s work from a European collection.
