A classic credenza, designed by architect Finn Juhl for the famed American manufacturer Baker Furniture as part of the Baker Modern line. This handsome cabinet features all the hallmarks of the Danish designer, including flowing lines, elegant carved details, and enameled metal pulls. Crafted from maple and walnut, the cabinet is comprised of two separate cases supported by a sculpted stretcher base. Superior craftsmanship is evident even in the interior, which includes lacquered drawers and adjustable trays with sweeping lines. The cabinet is in good condition overall, with only some faint scratches on the top. The gorgeous amber wood has been carefully polished, preserving its original character and patina. 1950s.
